The idea of Jersey Day grew out of the practice in some offices and schools of having a ‘casual dress day’. The thinking was that people could have a bit of fun, support their favourite sporting team and raise money for GOAL at the same time. With the support of GOAL patrons like Gordon D'Arcy, Matty Forde, Padraig Harrington and Sonia O’Sullivan, Jersey Day 2008 is expected to attract record levels of participants.
